Field Notes: A view of the pit facing north at the end of the day. Notice the asphalt intrusion in the SE corner of the pit. Grass and roots were posing a significant hindrance to excavation due to their thickness. In addition to the brick fragment, a whole brick was discovered lying on its side in a N-S orientation in the eastern half of the pit.
