A view of Level 2 facing north. At this point, it was decided to separate the level into two zones. Zone 1 is the area west of the brick wall feature and Zone 2 is the area east of the feature. The decision to split the level into two zones was made based upon the discovery of a large number of finds in the area labelled Zone 2. Zone 1 has been bagged into Lot 2 and Zone 2 has been bagged as Lot 3.

General regions in pit that run North to South. Region 1 and 2 have consistent layering while region 3 has been disturbed (parking lot construction?). This trend appears to be the case at least through ~30cm. Artifacts found in near surface @ 10-20cm of region 3 in photo such as the pipe bowl are probably dislocated. The absense of consistent layer in region 3 supports this, in additon to the thick layering of packed clay close to surface.
