A stratigraphic view of the north wall of the pit. Notice the significant root disturbance on the east side of the wall. Note how the statigraphic layers a virtually cut off exactly half way across the pit. This corresponds to the wooden beam that was present in the plan view of the pit. Indicates that some form of structure was present to prevent the deposition of soil layers on the eastern side of the pit for a certain period of time.

A beginning of the day view of the pit facing north (Level 4). Unlike the end of the day view from the prior week, sun shade is not an issue. Notice the clear demarcation line of stratigraphy approximately half way between the western and eastern walls. This abrupt change in stratigraphy corresponds to the material remains found within the pit itself. Notice the remains of a wooden beam the runs the length of the pit in a N-S orientation. Along with the presence of a large amount of debris in the form of concrete pieces, cement block and miscellaneous bricks in Lot 6, it may be postulated that the eastern half of the pit was at one time an area for the dumping of debris, etc..

A view of the pit facing north. In Level 3 (Lot 4), evidence of significant disturbance was unearthed in the eastern half of the pit. This disturbance splits the pit almost perfectly in half and is confined by a wooden beam that is located approximately equidistant from the east and west pit walls. Asphalt inclusion remained an issue in the SE quadrant of the pit but at this depth, it was primarily loose in nature and was easily excavated. Wood remains, now in the form of loose saw dust, is present in large quantities in the NE corner of the pit, adjacent to the cement block.

An end of the day view of Pit C. Note discovery of three additional bricks lying on their side all in a N-S orientation below the first brick that was discovered on September 16, 2006. Also two metal implements just beneath the surface grass but still within Level 1 (0-10cm) were discovered in these relative positions; their purpose is not yet know. Also, the boundaries of the asphalt inclusion has been determined to be consisting of virtually the entire SE quadrant of the pit.
